While many of our clients
are diagnosed with a disability such as Autism, Asperger’s, PDD,
ADD, or Bi-Polar Disorder, we also serve children and families who do
not face these challenges. We do this through in-home services for
children who are exhibiting behavior problems, our pre-kindergarten
program, trainings, and other services like academic tutoring.
Applied Behavior Analysis Services
Our ABA services are
the foundation of all other services we offer. Our staff members are
behavior analysts first, using scientifically validated procedures for
all of our other programs.
We provide in-home behavior analysis services
focusing in verbal behavior in Seminole, Orange , and Volusia Counties.
We also serve Lake, Osceola and other surrounding counties on a limited
basis
Since November 2006, our Autism (and related disabilities) Integration Center
in Sanford has provided intensive, one-on-one ABA with opportunities
for social interactions with neurologically typical peers. We believe
that this is the only program of its kind anywhere. It gives children
with Autism and other disabilities the opportunity to interact with
their peers and experience good role models while still having the
one-on-one support that they need to encourage budding social
interactions. Our goal is to help children in our clinic get ready for
a mainstream educational experience.
We offer ABA consulting services locally and will travel as requested.
1CBS uses discrete trial and natural environment training in combination. We offer intake assessments, ABLLS Assessments, a Full Functional Analysis Clinic, and
will soon be offering behaviorally trained nanny services. We provide
exceptional training and supervision for agencies, individuals, and
groups.
Social Skills
Using ABA , 1st Choice Behavior Solutions, Inc. offers social skills training classes. Our classes focus on giving clients tools necessary to thrive socially.
We teach about making
and maintaining friendships, conversation, turn taking and even
exchange, and other aspects of social life that are sometimes difficult
for our clients.
We sometimes offer FREE play and social skills groups in addition to our popular ‘Let's Learn Social Skills' fee-for-service classes. Call or e-mail for dates and details
Trainings
We provide training and supervision programs for parents, professionals, and other providers.
Our parent training classes teach
basic principles of ABA as well as give parents strategies to use
in-home with their children or in social situations. In addition to our
parent training classes, training is offered as a part of each visit
with your child in-home. You can receive as much or as little training
as you like with 1CBS.

Academic and Pre-school Services
1CBS offers academic tutoring. Tutoring
can take place in-home, in our center, or in other locations like
schools or libraries. Our tutoring, like all of our services, is based
on the principles of ABA . We tutor all ages and all subjects.
1st Choice Behavior Solutions Inc.,
offers a pre-school for non-disabled children. Typically our small
classes are made up of Siblings of children attending our Autism
Center, but inquisitive children whose parents want an extremely
enriching environment for their child are always accepted from
throughout the community.
Additional Services
1CBS offers mentoring, respite care, and transportation in addition to our many other services.
Our mentoring program reaches at-risk youth and children who are in need of further experience in the community.
Respite care is
available to all families and we ensure that the caregiver you are
assigned understands your child's needs and programming. Many of our
respite providers are working toward certification in behavior
analysis.
